In order to administer your test at the Testing Center, you must schedule it with us at least 3 days before the
test starting date. This also applies to all computer-based (on-line) tests. In order to schedule your test,
you may contact our office or log on to Route Y and visit our page. We recommend you schedule your tests early in the
semester, since we may turn you down if space is limited.
To schedule, you will need:
Instructor's name and extension number.
Section numbers that will take your test.
Approximate number of students taking the test.
Type of test being administered (Scored, Non-Scored, Two-Part).
Test dates (including late fee days if applicable).
Special Instructions for Final Exams
Scheduling for final exams will be done on a first-come, first-serve, space-available basis and must meet the
following criteria:
The teacher must have given at least one test for the class in the Testing Center during the current
semester.
All finals must have a major objective component, which will be scored by the computer.
All finals must be written so as not to exceed three hours.
All finals must be scheduled by the next-to-the-last Friday of the preceding month before finals begin.
Final exams must be available through the entire finals week.
Additionally, the final test will need to be prepared and printed as follows:
Tests must be printed on both sides of the page. This will help
reduce filing space.
The test must be labeled with the class name and teacher name.
The test must contain a Testing Center barcode.
All copies of the test must be numbered on the upper right hand corner
of the first page with a sequencial three-digit copy number (001, 002,
003, etc.)
The top of the first page of the test must contain one of the following using a bold typeface no smaller than 26pt in size:
If your exam booklet is reusable:
RED DO NOT WRITE ON THIS EXAM
If your provide one copy of the test for each student and allow
them to write on the test:
RED
Finally, ALL final exams need to be delivered to our office by noon on the last day of class.
Test Delivery
Once your test has been scheduled, you will need to deliver it to our office before 12:00 noonone
business day before it is scheduled to start. If your test is not in by 12:00 noon, it may not be available to
your students until noon the following business day. When you come to our office, please be sure to fill out a yellow
Test Delivery Card for each test you are delivering.
Please note that each copy of the test must have a barcode label, the name of the class, and the name
of the instructor. We also ask that if you have a large number of tests you print them using both sides of the page
to reduce storage space.
Test Pick-up
Administered tests are available for pick-up at our office after noon the business day following the test deadline.
Picture I.D. is required to pick up any tests.
Batch Test Scoring
We are able to score your objective (multiple choice) tests here at the Testing Center. Simply bring the answer sheets
along with the test key and we'll have them scored by noon the next business day.
